How can I move/migrate my site to your server?

DO NOT CREATE THE ACCOUNTS YOU WILL BE MIGRATING, THE MIGRATION WILL CREATE THEM FOR YOU!!!!!

METHOD 1

We have a migration tool for all master reseller accounts that will assist you in migrating your accounts.  This is a much faster method and provides you with more grasp on what is happening with your client's accounts. 

To access the migration tool:

  1. Login to your WHM Reseller account.
  2. Click the master reseller tab link on the bottom lefthand side of the screen
  3. When the master reseller tab loads scroll to the very bottom and fill out the form on the first tab.

You can check your migration after migrating an account without a dark DNS cut over by going to the url provided in your welcome letter and appending "/~username".

METHOD 2

We will handle your migration for you if you chose. You will need to email us the information detailed below and we will put your migration in queue. Please prep by creating a complete backup file for each domain in your old host. Each file must use the same naming convention as outlined in number 4 below. We do not guarentee a finished migration period. Typical completion time range from 1 hour to 1 week depending on how many clients and how much data needs to be moved.

If you want us to handle your migration please send us an email with the following information and revert any whm/cpanel languages to english:

  1. old ip address
  2. your old username
  3. your old password
  4. folder name where backup files are located(must be full backup files made from cpanel in backup-date_time_user.tar.gz naming format. EX: backup-2.3.2005_15-22-29_username.tar.gz. Your main account file should be moved by yourself manually to ensure that you don't have any problems with your account settings.)
  5. your hosty.net username 

You will receive an email when the migration is complete. We will not check the migrations. It is your job to ensure that all of your clients have been successfully moved. If there are any problems with the migration then you will need to contact us again to get them resolved.

NOTE: If you move the tar.gz files to our server put them in YOUR reseller accounts root folder in the migration folder
